Well, if you read the rest of the newsletter, you know that we've not got TWO tournament days for YGO. This should help everyone get their YGO fix.

Warhammer Invasion had a new set release this week called Fall of Karak Grimaz. This is sure to sell well as others in the line have.

We got restocked on Yusei 2 Duelist Pack booster boxes along with the Duelist Toolbox starter decks for Yu-Gi-Oh! This toolbox is great. It's got a ton of highly useful cards that end up in almost every YGO deck.
Our Warhammer Invasion product line got a full restock. We've now got all of the expansion back in for the game.
The latest World of Warcraft TCG is for sale now! We've got Wrathgate booster on the shelf ready to move.

Couple notes on Yu-Gi-Oh. If you want some Shinign Darkness, I would hurry in before we run out. If you miss out now, your next chance to get some might be when the special edition packs come out in a few weeks.
Also, if you want to insure that there is a sneak peek event for the next set locally (and more importantly that you'll have a spot to play in it), you need to get in an play some Yu-Gi-Oh. The Saturday tournaments have been slumping and we're going to use those numbers and attendance to gauge out Sneak Peek product purchase on.
We got a large restock of the KMC line of sleeves. And in addition, we loaded up on playmats. We've got some MTG, YGO, and VS mats to go along with some blank ones. Comes take a look!

We're trying to round up more YGO players and get tournament attendance back up. The first step to that was getting the new Turbo Packs in. So, yes, you read correctly that we now have the new Turbo Packs to add to the weekly prizes.
YGO Tournaments are every Saturday at 2:00pm and entry fee is $5.
For the Warhammer Invasion LCG, a new product call Deathdealer's dance is in.

Yu-Gi-Oh players, we are sad to announce that we will not the new tournaments packs this week. However, we will most likely have them for the following Saturday (3/13/10). We're still doing tournaments on Saturday at 2:00pm for $5.
We also have the latest Narturo boostar packs in from the Broken Promise expansion.
Sadly, Dragonshield is going through another small dry spell with stocking issues. So, in the meantime we've restocked on our KMC sleeves to hold everyone over.

For the Warhammer LCG, the Tooth and Claw pack came out last week. This pack brings the Skaven into the world of Warhammer LCG.
Yu-Gi-Oh players will be glad to hear that Absolute Powerforce will be on sale Tuesday afternoon at The Game Closet. We also want to make everyone aware that there will be no Yu-Gi-Oh tournament this week (2/20/10) due to other events occuring in-store.

Not only did we get the Yu-Gi-Oh Yuesei 2 Duelist Pack in last week. We're also hosting a Sneak Peek event for the next YGO set, Absolute Powerforce. That event is this Saturday (2/6/2010) at 2:00pm and will have a $25 entry fee.

We've got some Naruto Fortold Prophecy boosters in store. There are a few players interested in picking up this game, so we are going to try bringing a few sets in.
Yu-Gi-Oh Twilight Edition packs are here! These are a great deal. They come with one "Honest" card along with three out of print booster packs: Light of Destruction, Phantom Darkness, and Tactical Evolution. This is a great way to pick up cards for building those Light and Dark (Twilight) decks.

Yu-Gi-Oh Stardutst Overdrive Special Edition packages are here! Each pack comes with three boosters and either Charge of the Light Brigade or Tempest Magician. Both are great cards!
The World of Warcraft trading card game had a cool item release this week called the Scourgewar Epic Collection. Each package includes 5 booster packs, 1 playmat, 1 Deck Box, 1 Collector's Poster and a guaranteed TINY MOUNT LOOT CARD! This is an awesome deal.

Our Yu-Gi-Oh crowd is becoming hard to keep up with. We recently got in the new structure decks. And now we got in Yu-Gi-Oh Collectible Tin #2.
Each tin includes a Secret Rare variant card of the monster depicted on the tin. The Yu-Gi-Oh! 2009 Collectible Tins feature the ultimate monsters from the epic Dark Signers' story arc, as seen on Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's. The first tin features Rex Goodwin's “Earthbound Immortal Wiraqocha Rasca,” the final of the Earthbound Immortals. Proudly featured on the second tin is Yusei's “Majestic Star Dragon,” his latest upgraded version of “Stardust Dragon.”
Pokemon Platinum Arceus is here! This is the latest set in the Platinum series. We also got the Poster packs for this set as well.
And don't forget this Saturday that we've got a World of Warcraft TCG qualifier. It's constructed format and is a whopping $10 entry fee.

Our Yu-Gi-Oh Wednesday night duelist league went over well for our first week. We've still got plenty of prizes to give out through the end of the month. You should come on down and play.
And yes, we did get signed up for the next YGO Sneak Preview. That event will be October 31st at 12:00pm (noon). Cost will be $25.

Yu-Gi-Oh players know about our Saturday tournaments by now. But, now you'll be glad to know that we are also going to hosting weekly Wednesday night league play for just $3. And there are plenty of promos for everyone that plays :)

We got another cool Yu-Gi-Oh tin in this week. It's the Jack Atlas tin. Seeing how well YGO tins sell, this one should be a fast mover as well. Get in and get them before they're gone.

Yu-Gi-Oh players need to be on their toes. Next week, we are receiving the limited Jack Atlas tins. Be aware that these are a one time printing, so I'd recommend getting them in the store next week if you want one.
And don't forget that we are still hosting YGO tournaments every Saturday at 2:00pm for $5. Everyone gets AT LEAST a pack just for playing.
We're still running Friday Night Magic. It's standard every week and the cost is $6 with a 6pm start time.
Also, we've got a LOT of people that want to start drafting again. If you're interested, get up to the stor eon WEdnesday nights at 5:30pm to get youre draft on! Cost is $15. You keep what you draft and we supply all the prizes!

The latest Pokemon set, Platinum Supreme Victors, is here. We also got a small number of Supremem Victors poster packs. So, if you want some, I'd hustle in to get some.
Ancient Prophecies is still a few days from going on sell for Yu-Gi-Oh. However, we did get some Collectible Tins in that have Ancient Prophecies boosters in. These are a great deal as they come with 5 boosters (from multiple sets)a secret rare card, deck partitions, and a set of sleeves!

We've got the Yu-Gi-Oh Sneak Peek events for Ancient Prophecies (the next YGO set) in our store this Saturday 8/15 and the event starts at 12:00pm. That's the START time, so don't be late. Entry fee is $25.
The Game Closet is also hosting an Epic TCG release event for the next set, Time Wars on Saturday 8/22.
And to keep with the theme of packing our weekends, we're hosting a World of Warcraft Trading Card Game qualifier on Saturday 8/29 at 12:00pm.

Yu-Gi-Oh players will be glad to know that August 15th will also be our Yu-Gi-Oh Sneak Peek day. We will likely only have enough product to take care of each player once, so please don't come expecting any more than that. Entry fee will likely be $25.

We need our Pokemon players to commit to one day of the week. We've got a lot of you coming in, we just need to get a time/day that works for all of you to come in. Right now, we're doing Pokemon play on Tuesday nights.
Yu-Gi-Oh players. Be aware that on Saturday, if you aren't playing in an event, there likely won't be space for you. We've got a lot going on with several events lately and space is at a premium for customers playing events in the game area.
We also got some cool, new combo deck boxes from Ultra-Pro that fit your dice alongside your deck.

World of Warcraft Trading Card Game, national qualifier on August 1st. Cost is $30 and it's at 11:00am. The good news is that its sealed pack format, so you don't need a deck to play. This is a good jumping on point for those of you that want to try out playing WoW competitively.
Pokemon players...you guys need to get organized and get up here. There are a TON of you that have been coming to buy packs and singles. Now, let's work on getting all of you here on the same day. Tuesday nights is the designated Pokemon play day. Let's make it happen!
Yu-Gi-Oh tournaments have gotten nuts recently. Where you guys have come from, we have no idea. We're glad you're showing up though. And to show our appreciation, as long as attendance on events stays up, we are going to slowly be increasing the prize support, looking for some neat things to give away, AND likely start doing giving away door prizes every round. How's that for fun?
As for new stuff, we got restock on Dragonshield sleeves. We even stocked up on four different colors (Red, Black, Blue, and Purple) in the Yu-Gi-Oh sized sleeves.

Yu-Gi-Oh players should be happy to here that attendance for our weekly events is still growing. We're giving away more prizes weekly as a result. We also restocked heavily on Raging Battles.
Tuesday, June 30th, we should have the Fields of Honor expansion for the World of Warcraft Trading Card Game. We recently sold out of the Death Knight starters and should have a restock soon.
We want to take this moment to remind our Pokemon players that we have our Pokemon play days on Tuesday nights. Players arrive at about 5:30 and stay for a couple of hours. Many times, there here 'til we close :)

Yu-Gi-Oh players are starting to turn up from all other the place. Tournaments have been going strong on Saturdays. Always at 2:00 and the entry is $5. We've also sold out of the gold series packs and currently, we don't believe we will be receiving any more.

Yu-Gi-OH Raging Battles is selling like hotcakes. We just got a few more boxes in today! We also restocked some older Yu-Gi-Oh sets.
Also, we've sold through our initial run of the Yu-Gi-Oh Gold Series 2009. Don't fret though. We should have a little more showing up on Tuesday.

Pokemon Platinum Rising Rivals boosters are here! These are selling at a steady clip. Players seem excited by this set.
World of Warcraft Grand Melee set is in. This set have exclusive cards for every class and alignment! They are sold as decks as well, so that should please the masses.

Yu-Gi-Oh Raging Battle is here and ready to roll out!
Pokemon released their Platinum Poster pack. We've got just a couple more of these sets available. The pack includes two Platinum boosters, two 3-card promo packs, and a full sized Platinum visual spoiler poster. Oh, it also has a cool promo magnezone :)
We're looking to expand our customer base all the time. So, in that effort, we're now stocking Bellas Sara cards. These are cards with some of the cutest, girly little horses and such. Obviously this is geared at females. The neatest part about the product though is they give you cards and stickers to collect, but also codes you can use online to get horses and items to trade and play with.

Yu-Gi-Oh Raging Battle should be in our store for sale on Tuesday (5/12). And yes, the cards can be used in tournament play on Saturday.
For those of you that haven't tried Epic, you really should. The game is great. If you play YGO or MTG you've already got a leg up on learning the game. The national qualifiers for this game are small too, so you have a good shot at advancing.
Saturday (5/16) is the WoW Trading Card Game Realm Championship in Dallas, TX. It's going to have some really ridiculous prizes. It's worth going if you can get the time off.
We restocked a chunk of Dragon Shield sleeves this week and brought in more Ultra-Pro deck boxes.

We got a big restock on supplies. We got more of the 9-pocket pages in and lots of sleeves. We also got more cardboard storage boxes in.
Yu-Gi-Oh tournaments are still running strong every Saturday at 2:00pm with a $5 entry fee.
We're still selling lots of Epic. Now we need to get all of you guys in the same place at the same time to play more often. We've got several local players interested, so let us know what works best for you. If you're interested in the game, but don't yet play, let us know as well. Epic has the cheapest limited/sealed tournament format in the industry.

Check out our calendar for events. We've moved a lot of events around. We're still hosting events for all the popular games, just a few of them may have shifted.
And if you're interested in Epic TCG, you'll be happy to know that we've got events scheduled 2-3 times a week in store. This is a good game that's cheap to get in too. It appeals to fans of several different card games. We also have several high level tournaments coming up soon. And we'll even be giving away Nintendo DS products as part of the prize pool!

We've got the latest Pokemon tins in. These are a great deal as they are priced cheaper than normal packs. And, as usual, we've got tournament every Saturday at 2:00pm.
Epic is moving pretty steadily. This is a game that most people should try if they've ever enjoyed collectible card games. It's great on a casual level. It's even better on a competitive level with a great tournament structure and solid prizes. Expect Epic events weekly starting in about two weeks.
Yu-Gi-Oh players will be happy to know that we are going to continue with the YGO events on Saturdays as well. We may move to doing stuff during the week as well (maybe a hobby league) if we can keep attendance up on Saturdays.
We also got restocked on sleeves and brought in a few more designs of deck boxes.

We're crossing our fingers and hoping that we'll have our kits with all the needed materials in time for the Yu-Gi-Oh Crimson Crisis Sneak Peek this weekend. If you want to play, get in touch with me via e-mail and reserve your seat. We will likely be limited to 40 participants. You don' thave to pay upfront, you just need to reserve it, but if you'r enot here by noon on Saturday, your seat will be given away.
And that's not all. The store has YGO Yusei Duelist packs on the shelf for sale right now!
We want to tell our pokemon players not to forget about our weekly Pokemon league. It's Tuesday nights and it's only $1. We also run tournaments every Saturday afternoon for $5. We're also expecting to see a small restock on some older Pokemon sets on Friday.
The Epic TCG goes on sale this Friday. Be sure to get in on the gorund floor with this crazy cool game. It's got a cool tournament system and the game has a lot of appeal to both competitive and casual players.

Epic is finally here! This Sunday (Feb 22), you guys need to come in and play in the Epic prerelease. WE'll have some Open Dueling with a cheap entry fee $10. You're get a couple of packs and can try out the game and learn the rules. Then we'll follow that with a full scale tournament for $20! There are even some exclusive cards that will only be available at the prerelease. Come and get it. There's sure to be a good crowd this weekend as this has potential to be one of the next big card games! We're opening early at Noon this Sunday.
Next weekend (February 28th) is the Yu-Gi-Oh Crimson Crisis Sneak Preview in our store. It's going to be $25. Be here early as we'll only have product for about 40 players.
We've got the Pokemon league up and running again. We've got kits for both the Water and Lightning seasons. League play is every Tuesday for $1. We still have $5 tournaments on Sunday.

Epic Prerelease events are coming! Ours will be on Sunday February 22nd. Details should be up on our schedule soon.
We're also hoping to have the Yu-Gi-Oh Crimson Crisis Sneak Preview on February 28th. We're crossing our fingers and hoping it happens as scheduled.
Pokemon leagues should be starting up pretty solid again in a couple of days, so keep an eye out for those. We're also working on getting sanctioning for the regular weekly events. We also have Pokemon Platinum on the shelves.

Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh tournaments are stedily growing and seeing regular crowds every weekend. Tournaments are $5 and start at 2:00pm. We're slowly expanding our singles for these games as well.

For those of you that haven't played it yet, check out the Epic card game (www.epictcg.com). It's really good stuff. All but two customers have liked it. That's saying a lot with the pickiness of gamers :) We've got demo decks printed out if you guys wish to show up and try it out.
Also, if you're into animated series, give Huntik a look (www.ude.com/huntik). It's got some cool mechanics and a very neat show.
Both of these games should be availble at different points in February.
Also, if you want to be part of a big gaming event check out details on the Upper Deck Day event. The local area event will be in Ft. Worth. It's almost like a mini-gaming convention. You can find details at www.jdsevents.com

Pokemon Leagues will now be on Tuesday only starting on 11/25/08. You cannow participate in the league for only $1 on league nights. No, that's not a typo. That's the actual price. Tournaments will still happen on Saturday for $5.
If you are interested in trying out the World of Warcraft card game, we did get starters of the latest set, Drums of War, in and it's a good way to sample the game before diving in.

Pokemon Stormfront is here. Magically, we seem to have gotten it before Wal-Mart even and it's selling really well. Pokemons players are excited about some of the old favorites coming back into competitive play.
We've had a strong resurgence of Pokemon players in the store and are hosting tournaments weekly on Saturdays at 2pm.
We got more Fires of Outland packs in for World of Warcraft. It gives you the chance of pulling the elusive Tiger Mount loot card! Drums of War starters and boosters are also for sale. This set give syou a chance to get a Bear Mount loot card.
Yu-Gi-Oh Crossroads of Chaos is hitting the shelves as well. And don't forget that Saturday at 2pm we've got Yu-Gi-Oh tournament. We had a pretty good crowd show last week.

We'd like to remind our Pokemon players that our pokemon league runs on both Tuesdays AND Saturdays! We are modifying the league days to give packs to the player with the most wins, best sportsmanship, and a couple of random prizes. This will make the league days more fun for everyone.
World of Warcraft TCG released their Black Temple Raid Deck this week. We've got them on the shelf and ready to move.
We also want to start the Monday Warcraft league sback up pretty heavy. Let's make this happen.

And on top of that we got in the newest set of Yu-gi-Oh boosters, Duelist Genesis. This is the first set to use the new 5D's license and has a whole new card type.

It looks like we've finally finished up our most recent Pokemon league. But don't think we've forgotten about you guys. The next league starts on September 29th. Between now and then though, we are going to host a series of tournaments. Expect more details to come in the new few days.
And you all can definitely expect a new Pokemon set at the end of the week. We will also be extending Pokemon play to both Tuesday AND Saturday. You guys can now get your Pokemon fix twice a week!

I feel sorry for those of you that missed the March of the Legion World of warcraft event yesterday. We had an upper deck employee/designer in store playing with everyone and he gave away a ton of cool cards and t-shirts.

World of Warcraft TCG players rejoice! We've got some of the most fun events coming your way in the month of June.
First, we have the March of the Legion Tour stopping in our store on Tuesday June 12th at 6:00pm. This will be a sealed pack event for people to learn the game and chit chat with an actual UDE employee. Lot sof cool prizes including some Leroy Jenkins T-shirts if I'm not mistaken.
Then, there's the Ogre Smash N Bash event on Saturday June 28th at 12:00pm. This event will also be a sealed pack event witha $20 per player. Players will play in teams of 2 and EVERY players that participates will get a loot card redeeming for something online.

We also restocked our MTG product this week. Be sure to come in and play everyday if you want to get help on your standard legal decks. We've had a bunch of guys int he store every day working on decks and that should continue through next week.

This Sunday we have a group of World of Warcraft Trading Card Game players that want to get together. So, if you ant to learn to play or just need help with a deck, Sunday at 2:00pm is the time to be up at the store.
Pokemon players, be aware that we have the Dark Rakai gift sets in. These are a great deal. They come with a theme deck and two out of print EX series booster packs. It also includes a special foil card that was previous only available overseas...all for only $19.99.

Yu-Gi-Oh Light of Destruction is here! It's already sold out through distribution. We sold out of our first run and we have it back in. Boosters are $4.50.
Pokemon players should be happy as well. Today we got in the Darkrai Premium Box. It comes with a Diamond & Pearl Theme Deck, 2 EX boosters (Crystal Guardians and Dragon Frontiers), a pitch black Darkrai promo foil, and a unique oversized foil version of the card. And it's only $19.99. This is a great deal considering the EX series of boosters have been sold out for a while.
We finally got a restock of Dragon Shields in as well.
Also, if you are a fan of the Ultra-Pro sleeves, be aware that we should see more of them in next Friday.
There are some new cool lenticular dragon deck boxes hanging out on our shelves today too.
We are still getting World of Warcraft players together on Monday nights and Saturday afternoons. So, get your cards together and show up if you want to learn to play or need some help building a deck.

World of Warcraft players, it's time to get settled in. Mondays is our WoW player night. So, come in between 5pm and 7pm to meet up with other WoW TCG player and deck build and play some games.
And next Friday (May 9), we have a last chance qualifier for the WoW TCG realm championships and it might be pretty easy to qualifier for.

Many of you have been requesting that we bring Pokemon back in. Well, we listened and now have it for sale. We are slowly going to be increasing inventory as we get more Pokemon players, so come in the store and play to help build a player base.
As we get more people, we still start hosting tournaments and doing leagues.
We got more Ultra-Pro Game Cases and 9-pocket sipper albums in.

For those of you that are Pokemon fans, we are going to be bringing this game back in. We've had a ton of requests and a lot of players looking for opponents. We've already started selling some of the singles, and we should have retail product on the shelves by the end of next week.
Servants of the Betrayers is on sale now for the World of Warcraft trading card game. We even have a few of the loot cards for sale. So, if you are a fan or player of the online game, stop in a snag a few.
Yu-Gi-Oh players will be glad to know that we also have the Gold Series on sale. These packs are super limited, so come get them while you can. We have a very limited supply, but we are also looking to get just a few more next week, but don't expect much. They are super limited and the cards sell for large amounts online already.
There is a World of Warcraft TCG Realms Qualifer this weekend at The Game Closet (details at JDS Events.com) and Sunday at Chief's House of cards in Killeen.

We just got news that we will have a limited supply of Fires of Outland (World of Warcraft) show up Friday next week.
Phantom Darkness (Yu-Gi-Oh) is currently out of stock, but we are working on getting more in within a week or so.
We have had a lot of interest pop up regardling Pokemon. We are considering bringing this game back in. If you are interested in this game, hop over to our message forum and let us know. We might even start hosting tournaments and large events for it again.

Yu-Gi-Oh - We have started YGO tournaments again on Saturdays at 2pm. If these get going good again, we'll start doing a Duelist League on Thursdays to give away some special promotional kit prizes. We gotta get the Saturday events running well again first though.
World of Warcraft - We have players coming out of the wood work all of a sudden. We have random events on Saturdays by request. We also have a playday every Monday night for the WoW players. Come in at 5:30 to close to get your game on. This coming Monday, we are likely going to try and defeat Magtheridon's Lair (the newest raid deck that released Wednesday).

The Spoils $5K Event this weekend.
Don't forget that we have a huge Spoils event this weekend. Here's the info:
10am registration with an 11am start time. We like to stay as close to on schedule as possible, so please don't be late.
$20 entry fee.
Prizes:
1st Place - $1400
2nd Place -$800
3rd & 4th -$500
5th-8th - $250
9th-16th- $100
17th-24th-6 Packs
25th-32nd-3 Packs
Also, is anyone willing to help judge this event. I have some staff that will be gone running another large event for us and attendance for this event looks like it will be sizeable. I'd rather run a quality event and make sure that we have at least one more judge on hand.
I'll gladly cover gas, lunch, etc for the judge.

Marvel Legends are here! They are flying off the shelves and the new layout on the VS System cards is great. For those of you that want to get into the game for the first time (or were considering returning to the game), this is a great jumping on point. There are a few reprints. There is a new foil processing. And the game now revolves around decks and combat involving the most popular characters and themes.
Yu-Gi-Oh! Tactical Evolution is on sale now. Buy it by the pack. Buy it box the box. Either way, you need to do something to get your hands on the Rainbow Dragon. This is the first truly holographic Yu-Gi-Oh card.
If you are interested in The Spoils, you might want to take a deeper look into the game. The game is neat. It has an interesting theme. The game has some of the best elements from other card games like MTG and WoW, and it fairly easy to learn. We also have a $5,000 tournament coming up that is going to have a bunch of money and prizes going out and it likely to only have attendance of about 40 or so players.
Fires of Outland, the latest expansion for the World of Warcraft TCG is out and has sold out TWICE at The Game Closet. We are eagerly awaiting our restock, which should arrive sometime around Friday (9/7).
