We had a large influx of video games this past week. We got several 360, Xbox, PS2, and Sega Genesis games in.
There's a new game releasing soon called Ascension. It's a very cool deckbuilding game. If you liked Thunderstone or Dominion you will surely love this game.
You can even try it out early. Lucky for you guys, we at The Game Closet, are well connected. We got a fresh copy even before they went on sale this weekend at GenCon and we will be running demos on Sunday afternoon!.

We had another run of video games come through the store in the past week.
We also got a new cool board game called Pressure Matrix. It's got a cool Running Man (yes, the movie) feel, but has the goal of collecting points along the way while trying to wreck your opponents.

We restocked several board games we were out of, and got a new release in this week: Abandon Ship. This is the latest project from Reiner Knizia and it is good fun.
We also got in several Nintendo and Super Nintendo games over the past ten days. If you're looking to fill out your collections, you should definitely stop in and take a look.

Warhammer Invasion Skavenblight Threat Expansion
The guys at Penny Arcade had a game come out this week. It's a non-collectible card game. It's in much the same flavor as Munchkin and has all the jokes and attitude of the Penny Arcade guys. This is an entertaining item if you are a fan of the Penny Arcade site.
Small World had to expansion release for their board game this week. These are a one time purchase item, so get them quickly! Currently speculation is the only way to get these new items after sell out will be to buy a future version of the game. The expansion were Grand Dames and Cursed. Each provides you with new races and new abilities.
We also got a good movie trivia game called Pass the Porpcorn.

We are now dealing in PC Games. We just got a few in today, but we will be needing more. Feel free to bring by your used PC Games to get credit for them. We prefer the games have cases and boxes, but AT LEAST the cases and art.
Don't forget about the Castle Panic demo day this Sunday! We've got company representatives from Fireside Games coming in to do demos and answer questions! It's free, so you should definitely stop in and play and join in the fun!
Speaking of which, we got some more copies of Castle Panic in.
We got some bags of Zombie Clowns in. These make great tokens for different games and add a lot of flavor to your games if you are a fan of the Zombies!!! series.

Monkey Lab is a very funny board game from Alderac Entertainment. These guys are making a strong showing in the board game market between this title and The Adventurers. Do yourself a favor and look into the titles that this company is making.
Privateer Press is making a serious dent in the board game community this month as well with Grind. If you are a fan of Roborally or Space Hulk, this game should appeal to you. It comes with all the cool parts of a miniatures game while remaining true to the board game genre.
Dominion fans should be glad to hear that we have the newest expansion, Seaside, available. This expansion is not a standalone. You need either of the previous two versions to be able to play this one.
We've also got more people wanting to do some board gaming. Get down to the store on Sundays and get your gaming on.

We've had a solid influx of PS2, Gamecube, and XBox games over the past week. We can still use more though. You can bring your old games and movies in and use them just like cash to buy other things in store!
Scrappers is now for sale. It's a fun little game from Privateer Press that follows the theme of the goblin bodgers trying to get work done.

Fantasy Flight has released another highyl anticipated board games, Chaos in the Old World. It's a beautiful game that's based on the Warhammer Fantasy world. If you have it seen it, you owe it to yourself to give it a look. It's Games Workshop feel wrapped up in Fantasy Flight quality.
We also got the latest release from Steve Jackson Games, The Stars Are Right.
We also restocked two old favorites from Wizards of the Coast, Guillotine and Inn-Fighting. If you haven't played these, come in and check them out. They are good short games that are fun for the casual gaming group.

We stocked up on older video games products this week. We've got some of your favorite older systems, including Sega Genesis and Nintendo 64. We also loaded up on a lot of the old school games. If you haven't been by in the past few days, you're doing yourself a disservice by not coming back.
We also got another small run of DVDs in. Several of them were popular titles. Some are only even a couple months old.
In the way of family and board games we got a few neat titles in. Kids of Cacassone and The New World (a Carcassone style game at sea) are both neat and should appel to the appropriate gamers.
Aye Dark Overlord and Last Night on Earth are both back in stock. These are titles that move pretty well for us, so we're glad to have these back in.
Another fun one called Gloom is finally back in. This is a fun family card game with an Adams Family feel to it. There's an odd bit of humor to it, but it's good fun.

Space Alert is one of the coolest new games out! It's a cooperative game where the players are aboard a spaceship and trying to keep things toegher through disasters. The kicker though, is that is timed. You can play along with an accompanying CD or you can simply use the deck that comes with it. This game is being reviewed well early and it's already sold out through distribution.
We also got the Race for the Galaxy expansion: The Gathering Storm. If you're intersted in picking up the next RFtG expansion (Rebel V Imperium), let us know. It should be arriving mid-July.
If you want a cute, fun, fast game that the whole family can play, try, Hey That's My Fish. It's a funny game with some cool looking penguin pieces. It's good for all ages and the games go quick.
We also got the Lost Cities board game in along with the Innsmouth Horror expansion for Arkham Horror.

Two REALLY good games from Z-Man Games arrive today: Primordial Soup and Shadow Hunters. Both of these games sell extremely fast and are constantly well reviewed on lots of industry websites and publications.

We got a good card game in from the makers of Set called Five Crowns.
Don't forget that tomorrow (Sunday February 15th) is FREE Board game day. We've got a lot of people geared up to play. We'll likely be playing Shadows Over Camelot, Pandemic, Agricola, and who knows what else!
Speaking of Shadows Over Camelot, we got the Merlin's Company expansion in. This is a great expansion that adds more knights and traitors and more cards for both decks!
We've recently upped our stock on PS2 and XBox 360 games.

Fantasy Flight Games has released a new version of Cosmic Encounter. This is a cool game of alien politics, backstabbing, and trickery. And it's all done in the best way possible.
Talisman released a revised version of the 4th Edition release. The cool part though is that they've released a neat upgrade pack for those of you that have recently purchased Talisman. The upgrade pack is only $19.99.
If you were still looking for a good holiday gift for that dork/nerd/geek in your life, we got the perfect gift: Nintendo Monopoly. It's the great game of Monopoly with lots of cool Nintendo characters and references!
We've also lower pices on our used Rock Band setups and our handheld systems. Come and get them before they're gone.
Also, don't forget that you can trade video games in for cash or store credit. Store credit gets your 20%+ value than selling them for cash in most cases.
Super Smash Bros' Brawl Tournament for the Wii is coming up on December 21st. Check out the calendar for more details.

A hot seller from Z-man Games titled Pandemic has found its way back into our store after a long time of out of stock status.
We got some really nice versions of the Farkle dice game in store. They come with a nice dice rolling cup that doubles as a storage container and are priced at only $9.99.

If you've ever seen the movie, "The Gamers" you know it was hilarious. Well, these same folks have put out their second movie called, "The Gamers: Dorkness Rising." We've got a few copies if you're looking to snag one.
Mayfair Games has finally released the Settlers of Catan: Traders & Barbarians 5-6 player expansions.
And the most anticipated board game in the store (in probably the past 12 months)...MUNCHKIN QUEST is here. Yes, it's all the craziness of the card game all dressed up in a board game setting. If you purchase MUNCHKIN QUEST this weekend, you'll get a special Munchkin Coin, Coaster (that's game compatible), and set of Munchkin Quest promo pieces.

There are some cool new games that you guys need to come check out. We got in Rorschach. This is a fun party game that comes down to how you see things within the inkblot tests. If you like Apples to Apples style games, you should definitely like this game.
The Axis & Allies Aniversarry Edition is in. These are limited and retail for $100. If you want one, I'd hustle on over to snag one.
We also got a little known game that's quickly gaining steam called Ghost Stories. It's a cooperative board game where you'd helping the other palying to chase off (or run from) various ghosts.
For those of you looking to pick up some video games and systems leading up to the holidays, be sure to give us a look. We've got some of the lowest priced PSPs and Wiis in town. We have also bolstered a stock of video games for all major systems up with more coming in every few days.

After a loooong wait, we've finally received the Red Dragon Inn 2 board game. The cards and parts included with this game are compatible with the original Red Dragon Inn. If you liked the first one, this is definitely a must have product.

This Sunday July 20th we're going to be hosting a Super Smash Bros. Brawl tournament for all you Wii players. Entry fee is $10 and the event starts promptly at 1:00pm. Show up early to register and help us get things started on time.

Don't forget that you can still trade in your used video games and DVDs. We'll also still take your old D&D 3rd Editon books. You can get cash for this stuff or you can get an additional 20% in store credit.
The edition of Acquire is on the shelf and for sale.
We also got a neat product that fans of the Munchkin game series will enjoy. It's a specially made 10-sided die for keeping track of your levels within the game. But, if comes with special rules that allow you to start out one level higher if you use it while playing.
Fluxx fans should be entertained as well. Looney Labs released some nice boxes to keep all your Fluxx cards in. They come labeled two ways. One has the traditional Fluxx logo and the other had the Zombie Fluxx logo. But, what makes these an even better buy, is that each box comes with a special card you can oly get by purchasing the boxes.

We also got a fun card game called Mafia. If you've ever played Are You a Werewolf, you'll understand this game. They are very similar. It's a cool game that you can play with 7-29 players and it's only $9.99 and fit for all ages.
Days of Wonder released the Ticket to Ride card game this week and we have it on the shelves. It's got a similar feel to the board games, but it plays a little faster and it good for playing on the go. If you are a fan of the board games, you should definitly give this product a look.

We have several restock titles coming back in this week including: Axis & Allies, Runebound, Talisman and Ticket to Ride. Good times! :)
We've also started increasing our selection of PS3, Wii, and 360 games. Don't forget you can trade in games for credit for a lot of systems (Wii, PS3, 360, Gamecube, XBox, Gameboy, and PSP). We also take DVDs. And don't forget to check out our entertainment exchange program.
We're also in the middle of finalizing details for summer video game tournaments with Landsharx. The first events will include Halo 3, Madden 08, and Guitar Hero. These events will likely happen during the week and will be in the afternoons.

We got another ration of used DVDs in. Some of these were pretty hot titles. We are slowly expanding out our section of videos, but it's starting to look pretty good here lately. Our only problem is trying to get them in faster than we are selling them.

We got a solid restock on Munchkin products and we also got the core game of Settlers of Catan back in. We also got the Settlers of Catan dice game in. This is a cool product that plays relatively fast, but still has the fell of the traditional Settlers game.
And for those that love the Pink Godzilla game, rejoice! We finally got it back in stock today. It's even being guarded by our two plush Pink Godzilla animals!

I am proud to announce our latest project "The Game Closet Entertainment Exchange Program." Here's how it works:
Customers can buy a DVD or Video Game from us and bring it back at any time and exchange it for a similar item (movie for movie/game for game) of equal or lesser value for only $3.
So, if you buy an item that's $9.99, you can bring it back tomorrow, next week, or even four months from now if you want, and exchange it for an item of equal of lesser value for only $3.
If you choose to get something more expensive, say $13.99. You would simply pay $7 ($4 difference + $3 exchange fee) and from then on, you can exchange for items of $13.99 or less.
It beats renting because there are no late charges. Also, if you like the item, you can just keep it. On the other hand, it's cheaper than renting movies and games anywhere else and you can take your time viewing a bunch of movies or sampling games that you haven't had a chance to enjoy yet.
We just take the information down at the counter when you purchase your item and you're good to go!

Pink Godzilla. I know, the name is groovy, isn't it? This is a very funny, tongue-in-sheek kind of game. It spoofs a bunch of gamer dork material, which is sure to draw giggles.
The interesting thing you, is that the premise is about each player making a vieo game as the cards are played out.

Munchkin 6 just arrived yesterday and it on the shelf!
And Diplomacy is back and selling extremely well.
I'm also glad you guys like the pinball machines. The response has been very good for them. If things keep up the way they are, we might even bring in a 3rd one. I just have to decide on which one.
We still need more video games and DVDs. If you having any of these media items sitting around your house, bring them in for cash or store credit.
We also need your old gamer junk that you are planning on throwing out. We've had some good donations so far, but we will definitely need a lot more if we ar eeven going to come close of making our goal.

After being out of print for years, Diplomacy is available for sale again. This is one of the most interesting military stategy games ever created. You should definitely give this one a look.
If you are a fan of Pizza Box Football, you should check out Pizza Box Baseball as well.

Zombie Fluxx is in!
Giant Blokus is in. This is a great game. With the oversized board and pieces it's an even better family game. Pieces are easier to handle and harder to lose.

The game of the moment is definitely The Red Dragon Inn. This game takes a playful spin on adventurers hanging out in a tavern and trying to outdrink and outwit one another. The art is very flavorful and playful. The card titles and flavor text are hilarious. The game is safe to play with pretty much anyone agges 12 and up. Gameplay is fast and entertaining. The average game takes about 20-35 minutes to play. If you are looking for something different, fun, and fast, give this game a look.
We should also see a restock on Infernal Contraption later this week. This game is apparently a huge fan favorite that has sold out on three consecutive shipments in our store.
